Dear potential supporters,
Few of us will ever lend our names to foundations, hospitals or schools. Yet we offer you a way to make a difference in your community and in the lives of others.
Please consider supporting The St. Louis Teacher's Recycle Center’s “Van-GO”. Van-Go is a mobile classroom filled with unique, thought provoking reusable materials. Teachers and students from all over St. Louis will be eligible to walk on the vehicle to collect resources and explore new uses of discarded materials. After school workshops are also offered at several elementary schools and parks.
“Van-Go” Philosophy
We want to get kids to “Play” with Science, Math, Language and Art in an Eco-friendly, child centered way. We believe that our materials helps foster awareness and appreciation that motivate learners to further questioning, better understanding, and appropriate concern and action.
History:
The St. Louis Teacher’s Recycle Center has a 501(c)3 tax exempt status. Donors may deduct contributions as provided in section 170 of the Code. With over 15 years of experience we have a proven track record. To-date we have provided over 900 Missouri teachers with high quality reusable resources. Our materials have reached over 47,500 children. In St. Louis alone, over 50 businesses have donated more than 25 tons of materials to be used by the center for a variety of educational hands on activities.
The St. Louis Teachers Recycle Center has been recognized both locally and nationally for their work and continues to provide know-how and materials nationally. As well as directing the St. Louis Center, Susan holds the position of Board President of the National Reusable Resource Association.
