Purpose:
Participants will connect the past of what is known about early childhood development to our present knowledge that defines the child. Through visual presentations, hands-on experiences and group discussions, participants will be introduced to a modern-day, sustainable approach to joyful parenting.
Outcomes:
1.An Introduction to the findings of respected child advocates: Froebel, Erikson, Montessori, Piaget,Vygotsky and Malaguzzi.
2.Reflect on and construct personal strategies for encouraging the development of dispositions such as joy, wonder, creativity, innovation and respect.
3.Realize and reflect upon the importance of listening.
4.Discover the role of problem-solving.
5.Connect to available resources in your community.
6.Become an advocate for the spirit of children.
